Bottesford 4-1 Dale Park - Divisional Cup Semi-Final

Dreams of a fairytale end to Dale Park's season were crushed by a ruthless Bottesford at a sunny Birch Park on Sunday afternoon. Park started the better and pressed Bottesford high up the pitch in the opening minutes and Kris Collins and Jack Rhodes forced decent saves out of the keeper. At the back Jack Lacey-Hatton and Andy Dawson looked strong but Ash Finney was still forced to make a good save from Callum Pell as Bottesford began to put the pressure on. Right on half time came the killer opening goal when Kyle Jones raced away from the Dale Park defence as appeals for offside never came to anything. Dawson and Lacey-Hatton nearly got back but Jones kept his cool and slot home the opener. After the half time break we looked a broken team Bottesford nearly made it two to nil but Lacey-Hatton cleared a cross when it was close to Finney's goal, but moments later Pell did make it two after bundling the ball in from close range. Moments later Bottesford had three nil after scoring from a clear run on goal. Kris Collins gave us a small consolation after chipping the keeper. Bottesford added a fourth late on to end this generation of Dale Park as a team, and secure a place in the final of the Div Cup.

We will keep you posted on Dads V Lads and Presentation Night
However that is it for this season , cheers lads.

Bottesford V Dale Park - Divisional Cup Semi-Final

Today we face Bottesford away in the semi-final of the div cup. The game will be played on the first team pitch at Birch Park. All of our squad are available to play as we hope to repeat this season's 3-1 success in September. That day Jordan Merrill played the full game with Johnstone, Durnian and Reader all missing but it remains to be seen if Merrill can get another start today. K.O is 10:30 at Birch Park.

App Frod Juniors 3-4 Dale Park

Dale Park kept alive hopes of winning a trophy this season after a tight win at a side bottom of a league. Despite a cagey few opening minutes, Park eventually got off the mark. Lewis Clark's expert free-kick found Jack Lacey-Hatton and the steer post to steer in the opener beyond the keeper. However Frod were a tough side to put away and scored from a controversially given free-kick, which was fired beyond Finney. Our response was brilliant, Jack Rhodes cross finding Clark at the back post to make it 2-1. The second half was a lot more of a battle after Rhodes was forced off with an ankle injury. Joe Siddons levelled for Juniors with an absolute screamer but Nick Wingate put us back in front after lobbing the keeper from Harvey's long ball. His corner then set up Johnstone to secure the win with only 15 minutes to play. However we were given a nervy last few minutes after Merrill gave away a penalty Lingard stepping up to make it 4-3. We hung on and made it to the semi-final with Bottesford awaiting.
In other news Bottesford beat App-Frod 2-1 on thursday to go top of the league.
