Dale Park are safely through to the next round of the Darby Cup after a convincing but at times frustrating 7-0 win against Scotter. Connor Durnian scored two early goals meaning Park were never truly in trouble, the first was a quality finish punishing the hosts after they failed to clear a corner kick. Despite being denied a third goal for a decent part of the match, Park all but ended the tie when Collins scored after a good cross from Wingate. The second half was much of a stroll for us as Rhodes, brought on as a sub, scored two well taken goals after good passing football. Clark then won and converted in penalty in smart fashion to put us six goals up with only minutes remaining. Clark then nearly scored another after a overhead kick just went over and Wingate also nearly extended his scoring run after firing across goal the ball stayed out. The final goal came in bizarre fashion as a Scotter defender smashed the ball into the net, giving the keeper no chance. We now meet either Gainsborough or Inter Priory in round two. No game is yet arranged for next week but this may change.
