We came away from Messingham on Fathers day with our first silverware since 2007, when we won all three tournaments, today we gave ourselves a chance of repeating that feat. Park were dominant throughout the day, playing by far the best football and scoring some amazing goals. After cruising the group stage Park met one of the three Messingham sides in the tournaments semi-final, the game ending 1-0 to us thanks to a Jack Rhodes winner. In the final we met Messingham C and Rhodes, who had only just came off the bench, scored an amazing solo effort after winning the ball back himself. Despite controlling the rest of the game, a lucky but well taken last death equaliser took the final to extra time. Clark though became the hero scoring a brilliant winner to send the Barmy Army wild. The team then defended brilliantly and held on for the fifth tournament victory in our history. A day that the players, manager and supporters deserved.
Well Done Lads.
