Bottesford Game Off

Game v Bottesford postponed due to frozen pitch. Re-arranged for Feb 14th.

Dale Park V Bottesford

Despite the combination of the big freeze and snow showers tomorrow's game at home to Bottesford has not yet being called off (writing at 8pm Saturday night). Although no snow is forecast for tomorrow, it will depend on how much snow has fallen over this Saturday night and whether the pitch becomes iced. However if the game is on Park will only have Ell Brown missing from the squad, and Danny Tate may make his debut tomorrow.
PS
As soon as news comes about a possible postponement we will let you know.

Epworth 3-3 Dale Park

Dale Park produced a spirited late comeback to prevent a fourth defeat in a row and get a point at rivals Epworth, a side who have one of the best home records in the league. The game started off well for the Barmy Army who had early chances through Lewis Clark and Ryan Reeder, Reeder headed just wide. Clark then produced a moment of magic on the edge of the area, belting it in off the upright with the keeper motionless. Epworth somehow got back into it through a lucky corner that swerved in the air before finding Ryan Beautmont at the back post to head level. Dale Park kept up the pressure by dominating the rest of the half Jordan Merrill went close and Jack Rhodes then hit the bar. Lewis Clark also saw his header go over after good build up by Rhodes and Lacey-Hatton. However it was star of the game Clark who put Park back in front with another goal of the season contender. His free kick effort was a good 25 yards out before nestling in the top corner of the goal, sending the Barmy Army wild. Despite creating more good chances Dale Park could not get the crucial goal to kill off the game. In the second half we struggled more on a pitch, that was so boggy at times it was difficult to clear. Epworth got a lucky equalizer after, a free kick deflected in off Matty Harvey. Then Epworth scored a third despite a suspicion of offside. Dale were not done with yet though and after Jack Clixby took one for the team, making a well timed block and went off injured, Ell Brown came on to good use linking up well with Jack Rhodes. After Epworth failed to clear a long free kick the ball came out to Lacey-Hatton who threaded it through to Artour Johnstone who had made a great diagonal run then superbly finished past the onrushing Epworth keeper to make it 3-3 with 5 minutes left. Even keeper Ash Finney joined in with the wild celebrations. We nearly won it right at the end but Rhodes shot was well saved by the Epworth keeper. A well earned point sets us up nicely for a crunch must win home game next week against undefeated Bottesford.

DP Team: Finney, Clixby(Brown), Lacey-Hatton, Reeder, Spencer(C), Harvey, Rhodes, Wingate, Merril, Clark(2), Durnain(Johnstone(1))

Westwoodside 3-1 Dale Park

Despite a much improved display, some poor weather and poor referee cost us dear and condemned the Barmy Army to a third defeat in a row, all away from home. The day was all but decided in the first 5 minutes. In one of the worst starts to a game this side has ever made Park were 2 down very quickly with both goals coming after moves down the left side. The first flew in with help from the wind the second Finney found to hot to handle. However for the rest of the half we much improved, efforts from Durnian and Clark early signs. Then a moment of magic from Jack Rhodes after twisting and turning Rhodes then hit a curling shot into the corner of the Westwood goal. Dale then went for it but we knew our luck was probably out when Wingate was denied a certain goal when his shot was headed off the line. The second half was much more of a struggle for Park with the wind and slopey pitch making it hard to sometimes clear it past the halfway mark. Any chance of a decent finale was wiped out after the referee decided to control and slow the game down, as well as allowing some potentially dangerous tackles. His worst mistake perhaps came when linesman Paul Clixby signalled for a certain offside and the referee continued to wave play on despite both teams stopping. He then proceeded to tell both teams that every decision was up to him not his linesmen. More chances came our way with Clark hitting the post. However it was almost inevitable that the Doncaster lads got another and after a horrifying tackle on Wingate was allowed to pass and the opponents then went up the other end and scored, amidst another 50/50 offside. With Epworth next week yet another away game, and leaders Bottesford at home the following Sunday things may get worst before they get better.

5 December 2009

Westwoodside V Dale Park

We return to league action on Sunday by making the longest away trip of the season to play Westwoodside Rangers. The opponents are fourth in the league and have won there last two matches scoring sixteen and keeping clean sheets in both. Earlier in the season when Westwoodside visited us we won 3-0 goals coming from Rhodes, Clark and the since left Ryan Ingham. Later in the day Bottesford face Barton and if the Humber boys do us a favour and win, we could still end the day top. A win for Westwoodside would put them just two points behind us. tomorrow along with next week is perhaps our last throw of the dice in regards to the title. As for team news despite having two broken knuckles Elliott Brown is expected top play some part. Reeder is a doubt after missing training and Tate wont make his debut just yet, Epworth away next week or Bottesford at home on the 20th is a more realistic target.

30 November 2009

Brigg Town 4-2 Dale Park

Sorry but there will be no full match report from the Brigg Town away game because i have been ill for most of the week after the game. However we went down 4-2 despite taking the lead through Wingate Brigg fought back in the 2nd half and despite Reeders late penalty we lost our second game in a row. In other recent results Bottesfrod beat Messingham 4-1 to go top but we are still second. We meet Westwoodside this Sunday a team we beat 3-0 in our first home game of the season.

21 November 2009

Brigg Town V Dale Park

The Dale Park squad is stretched to the bare bones on Sunday for a huge game away at Brigg. Last time we visited the Rec. Ground we lost 5-4 in a game that most thought was the match of the season. A win will at least keep us four points ahead of second placed Bottesford who face Epworth earlier in the day. Brigg are currently 3rd in the table. As for team news both manager Reg and skipper Kier Spencer are both away this weekend so Paul Clixby and Paul Finney take charge of the team. Jack Lacey-Hatton will captain the side. Brown should be able to play as should Johnstone. Jack Clixby missed training with illness but should be ok by Sunday afternoon. Kick off is 2 o'clock at Brigg Rec.

15 November 2009

Barton Juniors 4-3 Dale Park

We lost our 100% record on Sunday after a unlucky 4-3 defeat at Barton. Lewis Barnes scored Barton's late winner after Park had taken the lead twice. Barton started off in perfect fashion when Barnes scored his first after a poor header from Jack Lacey-Hatton and a slip from Ash Finney. However Dale Park fought back when Jack Rhodes rounded the keeper to slot home. Nick Wingate then put in a goal of the season contender after going round two playershe then belted Park into the lead. Barton were very lucky Park didn't add to the lead, and then scored themselves after Liam Franks free kick found a way through. Park quickly re-took the lead after some great work from Johnstone, Durnain and Harvey, resulted in Clark heading home from close range. But Barton came back themselves Andy Dawson and Lewis Barnes goals made the three points stay at Pasture Road. The referee was at the centre of the controversy mainly for not adding on anytime. We are still 8 points ahead of Barton four ahead of Bottesford. It shows how the far the team has come that we could come to the league champions and think of winning after in previous years we have come here, and lost. It is also important that despite losing at Barton we will still be top of the table even if games in hand are won. Next week is Brigg away - quite simply a huge game.

Barton Juniors V Dale Park

Sunday Dale Park have one of the biggest games in their history when we face league champions Barton Juniors at Pasture Road. While Park have being beating teams left, right and centre, Barton have had one of the worst starts in their history losing 2-1 on the opening day to Westwoodside and also lost last time they played, almost a month ago, against Crosby Wasps 6-4. The other two games Barton have played in results have being good they beat Brigg 2-0 and also drew 2-2 with title favourites Bottesford. Last time we visited Pasture Road we lost 2-1 in a pre-season game. Last time we played them in the league was on a cold day in December 08, we lost that day too 7-3. As for team news Ell Brown is the only doubt to play after he missed the midweek school game. Barton are also only are missing one player. If we win we will be 14 points ahead of Barton almost certainly knocking them out of the title race. It really is win or bust for the boys from the Humber.
Game kicks off at half 10.

Game V Barton Juniors, On For Sunday

The Barton game postponed on October 25th will be played this coming Sunday with both teams expected to have full squads. Kick off time not yet known and we will get more team news sooner to the game.

Cup News

Sorry but is no match report this weeks game against Scunthorpe All Stars Under 16s. A game we lost 4-0 thanks to some poor decisions from the ref and linesman as well as a poor and big pitch. The result is not too important to us as its a cup which not many under 15 teams will do well in. This week the main focus will be on the Winterton school team who play at Winterton Rangers ground West Street in the E.S.F.A cup tie against Hemsworth Arts college from Wakefield. Full squad available. As for Dale Park fixtures we have no game scheduled for Sunday but Barton Juniors have a bye in the second round so we may could be making the trip to Pasture Road this Sunday.

7 November 2009

Scunthorpe All Stars V Dale Park (David Darby Cup)

Tomorrow we face an unknown quantity in Empson league outfit Scunthorpe All Stars in the Preliminary tie with the winner facing Messingham UN16s in next weeks first round. The All Stars have won 3 lost 3 so far this season making them mid-table in the second tier of the UN16 leagues. As for team news Brown is unavailble and Johnstone and Reeder are also doubts. Last time a team from Winterton came to the All-Stars ground, Rangers beat them 4-3 in a thrilling game. At this stage of the competition last year we beat Optis FC 3-0 goals coming from Clark, Baggers and Durnian.

Crosby News

Crosby United are believed to have folded and been kicked out of league due to lack of players. All teams that played them(all won) will lose the 3 points. We were yet to play them. We may be signing a couple of their players in the future. The revised table with these rules is to the right.

28 October 2009

Dale Park V Bottesford

This coming Sunday we face second placed Bottesford Town who can overtake us at the top with a win. A win for the Green Army would put us top by four points with a game in hand over Bottesford. Ryan Ingham is still registered with us and is available if needed. However it is more likely that Jordan Merrill or Jack Clixby will come in to replace him with either Matty Harvey or Lewis Clark shifting into midfield. It remains to be seen whether Brown or Durnian will start or if they will play together up-front. Johnstone also should be able to start on the right-wing.
In other news Crosby United have had two players leaving this week and so may be short of players to get them through the season. As for this Sunday full team available.
PS
No news on when the Barton game could be re-arranged for.

Game V Barton Postponed, Ingham To Leave.

Our game scheduled for this Sunday against Barton Juniors, has been postponed due to Barton Juniors having a number of ill and injured players. They have had this confirmed by the league. No new date has yet been announced. This means our next game is a week on Sunday at home to Bottesford. In other news Ryan Ingham is set to leave the club in the next few weeks for Messingham. However as Messingham don't have a game for a few weeks, Ingham may feature against Bottesford if needed.

Dale Park 7-1 Park Tigers

On the day we won our first 5 games of the season for the first time in our history, Dale Park produced a great display to see off a defensively poor Park Tigers. It took all of 10 minutes for the home side to take the lead after a great run from Jack Rhodes he cut back for Lewis Clark to smash in to the back of the net. Rhodes then took it on himself to put the match out of Tigers reach firing past the keeper from the edge of the box for his first and then minutes later cut inside and sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 3-0. it was 4 not long after, Connor Durnian ran onto a long through ball and slotted home. We managed to make it five without reply dead on half-time, Tigers defence in tatters which allowed Clark to get his brace and 6th of the season. Tigers fought well after the break and were much more lively and forced Ash Finney to tip a shot around the post. But Dale then ran away with it Nick Wingate headed home Clark's corner and then Durnian got his brace finishing well from close range. Dale Park slowed the pace down towards the end, and Tigers got goal to take back home after a rare defensive lapse from Dale Park. Also Barton (next weeks opponents) lost for the second time this season at the hands of Crosby Wasps, who moved away from the dropzone. Bottesford thrashed Crosby United 18-2 to stay four points off top spot.

Dale Park V Park Tigers

Sunday we host Park Tigers a side who have lost their one and only away game so far this season on the opening day, going down 6-1 to Bottesford despite taking the lead. Since then they have given Brigg a scare before losing 2-1 and also suffered defeat against Crosby Wasps. Although last week they picked up their first points by trouncing Crosby United 10-4. They will be looking to make it 2 from 2 this week to have a chance of moving up into the top half. If the Green army win it will be the first time ever we have won 5 games in a row in the top tier. Dale Park have a fully available squad, apart from the fact that defender Jack Clixby is expected to miss the game as he is still recovering from his eye surgery. This means manager Reg Spencer may be tempted to start the same 11 that started at Messingham 14 days ago. Game kicks off half 11 at Winterton Playing Fields.

Dale Park Squad: Finney(Gk), Spencer, Harvey, Lacey-Hatton, Reeder, Merrill, Ingham, Wingate, Rhodes, Clark, Brown, Durnian, Johnstone.

Dale Park 2-0 Messingham

On a sunny Sunday in Messingham, Dale Park extended their lead at the top of the table to 5 points without ever really being tested. With no Jack Clixby at left-back Matty Harvey came in to defence and captain Kieren Spencer switched to left-back. After winning all our games in September, October started well after early chances by Jordan Merrill and Jack Rhodes, a Lewis Clark free kick was not touched on by any Dale Park or Messingham players and found the top corner. Celebrations ensued on the touchline and on the pitch for the first crucial goal. After the early goal Dale Park created more chances, Ell Brown rattled the bar, then Jack Lacey-Hatton and Nick Wingate both fired wide. A moment of magic from Lewis Clark gave us breathing space, after good build up down the left by Spencer and Rhodes, top scorer Clark cut inside and lashed a shot in to the back of the net. It could have been 3 on half-time but Jack Rhodes' shot went just wide of the goal. In the Second half Park calmed the tempo down slightly and went slightly more defensive. Chances still went at either ends. Nick Wingates long throws look dangerous but failed to be converted. Messingham never really threatened although when Ash Finney was called upon he delivered well with some good stops. The full time whistle soon sounded to make it 4 wins from 4 for Dale Park. Our best start to a season under Reg Spencer.

Everyone at the blog wishes Jack Clixby a healthy recovery from an operation recently undertaken and we hope to see him back playing soon.

Dale Park 2-1 Epworth Town

Dale Park kept their 100% season record in tact and ended Epworth's after a hard fought and controversial win at Winterton, with Nick Wingates late winner deciding the game. In the first half chances were limited and only Artor Johnsons rebound after a powerful Wingate throw in was a decent chance. At the other end Finney was rarely tested as Dale Park held firm at the back. The game livened up after the break, Lewis Clark went close and Epworth forced Ash Finney in to a number of good saves and catches. However with ten minutes to go it looked as if Dale Park had thrown a point when poor marking allowed Epworths captain to head home from a corner. Dale Park then raised the tempo and after Clark was kicked in the face by a defender a penalty was awarded(a good decision from referee Paul Clixby). Some of the Epworth players and fans were unhappy at this decision but there was no doubt it was a clear foul. However Clark still weary and groggy sent the spot kick just over the bar. With the touchline debate still heated, on the pitch Park continued to pressure and after nice build up by Lacey-Hatton, Brown and Rhodes, a superb cross was met by Clark who was unlucky to hit the post. However straight after that a long throw in by Wingate was flicked on and turned into the net by a Epworth defender. Although Epworth looked like they could respond a swift Dale Park counter attack allowed Wingate to break forward. Wingate looked for Clark in the middle but his cross was caught in the wind and lobbed the keeper to make it 2-1 with 5 minutes to go. The goal sparked wild celebrations both on and off the pitch, which again upset some of the Epworth coaches. Dale Park then held out for the last few minutes to claim a memorable victory and send us top of the league.
Wingate was man of the match.
Well done as well to P.Clixby who kept his head well despite some tough words from the touchline.

Dale Park 3-0 Westwoodside

In our first home game of the season goals from Jack Rhodes, Lewis Clark and a second half header from Ryan Ingham ensured Dale Park went top of the table by Sunday lunchtime. On a sunny sunday in Winterton Westwoodside took the early initiative and Ash Finney had to make some smart saves. Dale Park though soon hit 2 in 2 minutes after another Wingate long throw Laceys header fell to Jack Rhodes to fire on his home debut. A minute later it was two a great move from Winagte and Brown ended with Brown passing to Lewis Clark who placed a neat shot past the Westwoodside keeper. In the 2nd half Dale Park kept it tight at the back and added the 3rd late on through Ryan Ingham, a decent header from Clarks corner. New signing Artor made a debut and battled well on the right side of midfield. Next week we entertain Epworth at Winterton in a 11 30 kick off. Also there are 3 school matches this week. Winterton host Fred Gough in the champions league monday and Brumby on wednesday int he same group. On thursday they then travel to Grimsby to play Healing Hotspurs.

Match Preview Vs Westwoodside Rangers

Tommorow we have our first home game of the 09/10 season against Westwoodside who last year finished 5th after been promoted. They won their opening game last week 2-1 the same time we won 6-3 at Crosby Wasps. It will be our first ever match against Westwoodside, although the closest we came to paying their 11 was when Winterton met South Axholme in last years champions league semi-final. That time Winny came out on top 3-1 after coming from behind. As for sundays team news, Clark has overcome a back injury and Harvey has won his fitness race after injuring his foot last sunday. Artor has not trained in weeks so he is doubtful to appear. Rhodes and Wingate should start on their home debuts. Westwoodside have no new injurys.

Crosby Wasps 3-6 Dale Park

Dale Park came from behind to win their first game of the season 6-3 against Crosby Wasps. Both sides had new look line ups going into the season opener and it was Crosby who started well forcing a few corners and some decent chances in the first 20 minutes. Dale Park struggled to control the midfield, and it was no suprise when Crosby took the lead after some nice wing play and good finishing. Park however kept Crosby out from then on, with some great defending and good tackling from wingers Matty Harvey and Jordan Merril. New signings Jack Rhodes and Nick Wingate were then brought off the bench and made a good impact. Quick play down the left wing resulted in Lewis Clark sneaking in for a well placed header. With half time approaching Dale Park rallied and new boy Nick Wingate turned and superbly fired home to give Park the lead. Dale Park started the second half much better and Wingate was once again involved in the next goal. His accurate long throw allowed Jack Lacey-Hatton to head home his first of the season. The Barmy Army then took control with Ell Brown superbly winning a penalty and Connor Durnian converting a re-taken penalty. Another great throw from Wingate allowed Lacey-Hatton to get his 2nd after Inghams flick on. Late on Crosby fought back with 2 counter attacking goals. Lacey had the chance to get his 3rd but could not convert a penalty that Wingate had won and seal the match. That job was left to Jack Rhodes who finished well after good build up by Lacey-Hatton and Clark. Towards the end of the match Ash Finney made some top saves to keep the score comfortable for Dale Park. A special mention to Paul Clixby(A.K.A SMART) who made some great linesman decisions.

Match Preview Vs Crosby and Gunness Wasps

Sunday we open up our new season against Crosby Wasps. With new signings Nick Wingate, Jack Rhodes and possibly Artor as well all making the debuts sunday we will look to have fresh optimism for the return to league 1. Although it is worth noting we have not won at Foxhills against the re-named Gunness side. However last time we did go there in April we ran out 4-0 winners against Crosby United in the div cup semi-final a cup we went on to win. Lewis Clark has been passed fit to play. As for the new away squad numbers its all new. The main points are that Lewis Clark will where the number 9 shirt with Matty Harvey wearing the 7 away shirt. Jack Lacey-Hatton and Jordan Merrel have swaped from last years numbers, this year they will be 4 and 5 respectivly for all away games. Dale Park Tournament Review

Last Sunday we hosted our annual Dale Park Tournament with 9 teams involved. In the group stage our green team made it through with relative ease but colts despite a good effort didnt make it into the final four. In the semi we met a messingham side who we play in a few weeks in division 1, and despite taking the lead the reat of the match was hard fought and with the the score 1-1 aet. This lead to yet another penalty shootout for the 3rd time this summer. However this time it was us who came out on top, after Jack Lacey-Hatton, Lewis Clark, Jordan Merrel and Jack Rhodes all scored perfect penoes to send us to a 3rd straight Dale Park tourno final. once there we again met Brigg Town who took the lead after just 2 minutes, Jack Rhodes one of the days top performers equalised superbly. However Brigg Town re-took the lead in an instant through James Hannabuss.
Despite a heroic late charge Jordan Merrel's header was the closest we came to forcing extra-time.
We will be keen to fight back in div.1 later this season.

Dale Park Greens results:
Dale Park Colts 0-0
Pheniox Rangers 2-0
Messingham 0-0
Bottesford 1-1
Trent Valley 3-0
Brigg Colts 1-0
Pheniox Colts 0-0
Brigg Town 1-1

Semi-Final:
Messingham 1-1 (AET)
4-1 on penalties

Final
Brigg Town 1-2

Interviews - Part 4

Today we are talking to club goalkeeper Ash Finney.

Ash a few years a go you left your left winger and centre back posistions for the vacant no.1 keeper shirt, why and was it a hard decision?
I left it because we didn't have a keeper at the time and i was determined i could do well because of the way Lee Grant was playing aand it inspired me. It was a hard decision because i had never been in goal and i knew i had a shed load of training to do.

Where do you think we will finish this season?
I think we will finish either 4th or 5th it depends on how well we combine and work as a team.

Who would you most like to beat this season?
Barton Juniors (the B.J's) or Epworth Town.

Who do you think will win player of the year?
This is a tough decision baring in mind the top quality players we have but i think this year that Jack Lacey-Hatton will pip afew players to it.

If not us then who do you think will win the league?
Brigg Town or Barton Juniors

Who do you think will be the suprise player of this season?
Artor

Who will finish top scorer?
Jack Rhodes

Do you think we can mount a title challenge?
I suppose we can give it our best shot but not this year.

Who will lineup on the first day at gunness?
Gk:Ash Finney
DF: Kieren Spencer, Jack Lacey-Hatton, Ryan Reeder, Jack Clixby
MF: Matty Harvey, Lewis Clark, Ryan Ingham, Nick Wingate
ST: Jack Rhodes, Connor Durnian
Subs: Ell Brown, Jordan Merrill, Artor

What do you think about the rumours that Lewis Clark will play upfront this year?
I think this is a truely awsome rumor put clarky anywhere and he would be mint (but not my position).

How many clean sheets are you hoping to keep?
I think i will keep about 2 but my target is 5.

Last of all who will be our nearest rivals in the league?
Park " rawww" Tigers.

Interviews - Part 3

This week we talk to Jordan Merrill who is about to taste league 1 football for the first time.
He talks to the blog about his cult hero status and his predictions for 09/10:

Where will we finish in the league?
Middle maybe, Maybe top four, just hopefully not relegated.

Who will win player of the year?
Its either got to be Lewis Clark or Nick Wingate.

Do you think you will start on the opening day?
Hopefully, but we have got two new players better than me so one of them might take my place.

Do you think we can challenge for the title?
Most likely yes, We know what its like to be in this league because we have been in it before, and we have got the quality so yes we could have a good challenge for the title.

What squad number would you like this season?
Not fussed, 8 would be nice to wear but chuck a number at me and ill use it.

Who would you most like to beat this season?
Probably Epworth, they didnt welcome us to the new league so we are gonna punish them, maybe Park Tigers too.

Ever reckon you will be our number 1 keeper?
No way, Ash Finney will always be our No 1 keeper, he made a lot of saves and scored 3 goals, he was one of the reasons we got promoted, he was immense last season.

Who will be top scorer?
There are four people who will get thier name on the scoresheet mostly every match, and thats Connor D, Jack R, Nick W and Lewis C.

Lastly you have got a bit of repuation as a cult hero amongst the fans for being enthusiastic, would you say thats true?
I always try my best and do what im told, the good thing is i bring fun into it aswell for the fans, i want the fans to be happy, to appreciate me, and to watch a good match with us winning hopefully, cheers.

Brigg Tournament Review

Despite a good effort from a fairly new look team at this years Brigg Tournament, we came runners up for the second year in a row. We started the day average drawing the first two games in the group stage but after that form picked up with us qualifying automatically for the semi-finals despite a 1-0 deafeat to Brigg Juniors. A near flawless performance against Gunness Wasps saw us run out 3-0 winners with goals from Lewis Clark(2) and tournament debutant Jordan Merril put us into the final. despite more flowing moves and chances at both endes neither Dale Park and Brigg Juniors found the net in normal or extra time resulting in a stalemate and penalties. After a typical lottery shootout it was Brigg who truimphed 4-3 on penoes. Well done to them and we hope to be back next year with a just as strong performance.

final
Dale Park 0-0 Brigg Town( Brigg won on penalties 4-3)

Match Review vs Bottesford Newey

On a sunny easter thursday we played our final game of the season away at struggling Bottesford Newey. Matty Harvey started on the right wing and got our first goal after just 5 mins. The rest of the half was a bit more of a struggle with only a durinian goal to add to harveys. The second half saw an improvement as Dale ran away with it. Despite Finney almost scoring a comical own goal with his head, goals from Clark,Spencer,Brown and Durinian completing his hat trick meant that we ended our season with a 7-0 victory and our 4th clean sheet of the season. We could still face Crosby in a play-off for the title if they slip up against 5th placed Lss Barton after easter. Thanks to the fans for contiued support we hope to have a good turnout against Brigg in the cup final on May 7th. Preview will appear on this website.

Also this website will be supporting Winterton Comp football. The side has reched the champions league final. and the majority of the Dale Park squad will be taking part along with Wingate, Rhodes and co.
Full coverage of that day will be shown on this blog.
Thanks again roll on 2009/2010 and a return to league 1 football!

Match Review vs Crosby United

Last Sunday the lads put in there best performance of the season as we won 4-0 against a Crosby United side who had beaten us twice earlier in the season. We should have been 1 up after 5 mins but browns goal was mysteriously ruled out despite looking clearly onside. But we finally got our derseved lead when a Clark cross was blocked out by a Crosby hand. Durnain smashed the resulting penalty to put Park 1 up. The second half was a very comftable performance from Park while Crosby struggled to get back in the game. Durnian second and a superb finish from Clark put the game beyond doubt. Brown got his goal nutmegging the goalkeeper to round off the scoring. A brilliant victory in our hardest match of the season. We will play Brigg Colts in the final after they sneaked past a impressive Crowle Colts youth side with 2 goals from Danny Harding the difference. The final will be at Barton Juniors home ground on May 7th. See you then!

29 March 2009

Match Preview vs Crosby United[cup semi-final]

Sunday we make another trip to foxhills to face table topping Crosby in a huge game. While Crosby will be looking to take a huge step closer to doing the double. However a win for us means we will be in our first league cup final ever. Full team expected. Last week Crosby beat Trent Valley 7-2 to move 3 points ahead of us with 1 game remaining in the league.

19 March 2009

Match Report vs Isle United

We won our final home game of the season 9-1 to isle beating the 8-1 score we beat them by earlier this season, this gives us an overall aggregate against isle of 17-2 this season beating Crosby's set target. Lewis Clark was at his outstanding best scoring 4 goals in the process. Durnian and Ingham also got chipped in with braces each. Lacey-Hatton added one late on. Crosby did not slip up either as they won 7-3 against Bottesford Newey meaning the title will go down to the last few weeks. We have 1 game remaining against the Bottesford who lost to Crosby. While our rivals have a tough run in against Trent Valley at home and Lss Barton away, those teams are 3rd and 4th respectively. With the pressure on them there is still a chance the title could be heading to Winterton even if it is via a play off. As well as that there is also the Cobweb divisional cup a trophy of huge importance to the team. We meet Crosby a week on sunday in the most important game of our season.

Thanks to the Scunthorpe telegraph who gave us a special match report and pics from this sundays match against Isle.
Thanks again

14 March 2009

Match Preview vs Isle United

Tomorrow we play Isle in our final home game of the season. With promotion secured we have the pressure off until we go to Crosby in the cup at the end of the month. Isle were defeated 8-1 by us earlier this season. However after giving Crosby a scare before going down 3-0 United have shown in recent weeks they are a much improved side. Full team expected.

2 March 2009

Promotion secured!

Congratulations to the boys we have been officially promoted after a 19-2 thrashing of Crowle . The game was 9 v 9 due to Crowle having only 9 players turn up. Although over half the team got on the score sheet special mention to Finney who scored his first hat-trick in years after coming out of net. Lacey-Hatton and Durnian also got hat tricks!!
Well done lads

6 February 2009

Match report and preview

Sorry no full report however in the midst of all the snow we managed a comfortable result 5-1 against a promotion chasing Barton Terriers 5-1. Durnian and Clark got braces while Reeder added the 5th late on. Pics and video added soon. As for this week we face Isle United and a victory will guarantee promotion.!! All squad expected to appear.

Good luck boys

1 February 2009

Trent Valley Review

Last Sunday we beat Trent Valley 4-2 despite an early free kick giving them the lead 2 Durnian goals put us in front. However after a few missed chances Valley equalized from a lofted corner. Dale Parks well timed counter attack won the game in the second half as Clark and then late on, Durnian completing his hat-trick made the final score 4-2.

24 January 2009

Trent Valley Preview

Tomorrow we meet Trent Valley who we stunned earlier this season with a 4 goal comeback from 4-1 down. Captain Keiren Spencer scored two late goals all 14 players are expected to be available
a win means we will keep pace with Crosby United who play Isle tomorrow. Finney will start and Lond may also return.

Come boys!!

20 January 2009
